About Crowland Central Public School
Built in 1949, Crowland Central Public School is located in a small community called Cooks Mills, just east of Welland. Our enrollment is approximately 145 students in grades kindergarten to grade 8. Our staff includes principal, teachers, educational assistants, and an outstanding support staff. Cooks Mills was the site of a famous battle waged between the Americans and the British during the War of 1812.
Crowland Central Public School provides a rich and varied program in literacy, mathematics, the arts, social sciences, design and technology, and computers. Students are privileged to experience many opportunities which encourage the development of excellence, integrity, tolerance, respect and a sense of social responsibility.
Crowland Central Public School, like all other schools within the District School Board of Niagara, is committed to personal growth, productive citizenship and lifelong learning for all. This is reflected in our school growth planning. In addition, the school has an active extracurricular program for all students. There are a variety of intramural and club activities organized and supervised by our staff.
Our community, parents, staff, and students are actively engaged in doing what is “best for kids” as the world transitions into a more technological society. We feel, as we work together, that our students will be prepared for the future as productive, successful and responsible citizens. Catch the Crowland fever!!
